Winstep®, "ready for traffic in a matter of a few days"

Wintec® were called upon to assist with providing a solution for the staircase flights in the newly developing high-rise modern accommodation units in Mbombela. The project required short lead times and rapid installation techniques, together with being cost effective. Winstep® was the perfect solution.

We had the privilege of working with Norse Projects and the appointed engineers in helping to design the staircase layout as well as the steel connection details at the landings. The engineer decided on manufacturing steel “beam hangers”, that were attached to the landings so that the pre-cast concrete Winstep® Stringer Beams (SB2) could drop into position on site. The treads are then bonded onto the Stringer Beams, and the staircases are ready to go.
