Winblok® New Research & Development Project 2022
By Andrew Stratford / Location Wintec® HQ, Eastern Cape, SA
2022 is in full swing and with the effect of the last two years, we are happy to announce that we are back at it developing new products. We are currently working on new accessories for our Winblok® Total Window System, here's a sneak-peak at what we've been up to.
With the growing awareness of climate change and the need to keep buildings insulated passively with architecturally aesthetic facades, we are working hard on introducing innovative solutions into the building industry to compliment our already successful Winblok® Window System.
We pride ourselves on being 'vertically integrated', meaning that we can take a new idea from concept right through to the end product, all 'in-house'. Using a combination of 3D Printing, CNC routing, mould casting compounds and expert craftmanship to create a quality final product in high-strength, cutting-edge concrete that will last for decades.
Using 3D modelling techniques and the CNC, we created a test part to serve as a control before working on the final large scale element. Specialised moulding "rubber" is strategically poured over the positive shape to give us a flexible mould to cast concrete into. Our first test went well and we are advancing onto the next stages in the coming days to the actual new products.
We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to be back in the workshop after a well deserved break.
Recent projects also using the Winslot®Screen system.
